II Nit del Gourmet Català 2016

About 500 representatives from gourmet sector in Catalonia: manufacturers, retailers, distributors, restaurateurs and institutions attended the second edition of the Nit del Gourmet Català, an event organized by the Cluster Catalonia Gourmet, trying to become a benchmark for promoting gourmet product in Catalonia.

The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Meritxell Serret, presided over the ceremony and presented the Gourmet Català de l’Any Award to restaurant El Celler de Can Roca. The award was collected by Joan Roca. During the ceremony, the Business Development Award was also presented to cluster partner El Pastoret de la Segarra, for its innovation. Partner Aigua de Sant Aniol took the Business Development Award for its internationalisation process.

The venue chosen for this ceremony was the Palau of Pedralbes in Barcelona. Cooking Communication organized this second edition by serving a food tasting of the court of seventeenth-century and a variety of Catalan gourmet products.
